When you are using technology…
- Be aware of your posture. Don’t hunch over screens and ensure you don’t stay in the same position for long periods of time.
- When using a PC or laptop, sit in a chair that provides good support for your spine. Make sure that your shoulders, hips and knees face the same direction.
- Your seat should be positioned so that your feet are flat on the ground with your knees bent. Ideally, you should end up with your hips higher than your knees and your eyes level with the top of the screen.
- Always sit with your head directly over your body to avoid putting any unnecessary strain on your back.
Remember these tips when you’re using technology. They could just save you from developing chronic back pain.
